The Global Service Jam (GSJ) is a Global event that focuses on bringing people together over a common theme during 48h and challenge them to create a service or a product together.

On June 2021, I participated the GSJ in Shanghai and joined a team of seven with diverse background. Our team came up with an service design concpet  named "Freelease".

I pitched our project in the final presentation. And our idea was highly praised by the judges and audiences.

In modern society, people quickly adapt to the changes that are brought about in their lives at all times, and at the same time face depression or negative emotions that are triggered.

At different stages of life, the emotions and pressures carried have become more and more diverse. From career, family, and relationships, modern people are tortured by negative emotions. In Asian societies, negative emotions are more difficult to be open and understood, and in the face of these oppressive emotions, they do not know how to evaluate and solve them.

To empathize with users, we interview 3 people under negative emotions recently. The insights we collected were:
- Share the experience: talking with people who shared similar experience would relieve their negative emotions.
- Escape moments: having a drink with friends or staying alone would be a moment of escape the pressure in reality.
- Emotion control: measuring the emotion can help users have a better control.

We summarized the research using the empathy map and concept poster. Then we identified our design opportunity "How might we help people under negative emotions feel relieved through an integrated healing service?".

Freelease is an integrated healing service plan: through the physical detection of behavioral data to quantify emotional data, people can better understand themselves and provide matching healing solutions.

Through time, environment, user behavior, connecting IOT health devices in different environmental scenarios, and facial recognition micro-expression, or the user's independent input of emotional feeling information, the human body's five sense tests are transformed into scientific evidence and psychological emotional quantitative reports.

We used the Paper Prototype method to quickly make our ideas tangible.

The online (APP) and one's usual healing behaviors are used to make healing behavior recommendations according to the situation and establish a supplier platform model to match suitable business entities, such as forest travel programs, courses or mutual aid communities. Online tools can be used to find nearby offline healing warehouses (Kiosk). It uses sounds, lights, smells, etc. in the environment of the warehouses to guide and help users in meditation, yoga, or other emotional release activities. The long-term goal expects people to be more likely to perceive their current emotional state and to effectively ease the processing.

We let the judges and audiences to experience our prototypes in person.

The money can be generated from both the end users as well as the suppliers.

Based on the facts and assumptions, we calculate our serviceable obtainable market would be 2 billion.

Our idea was highly praised by all the four judges and the rest of the audiences. And we won the "The Most Creative" praise in the final presentation.
